Trackmania 2 is the succesful successor of Trackmania (who would have guessed?).
It’s a great technical racing game that’s “easy to learn but hard to master”, and defines the “just one more try”-games. IGN rated it 8.5, a score it definitely deserves. The gameplay is as addictive as ever before, competing online in time trails, trying to nail that one o-so-difficult corner (and then screwing up the next one), and being completely satisfied when you get up on that stage. The graphics are simple, impressive and clean, which brings us to the main point..
How does it run?
Just as Trackmania 1, this little game runs pretty smooth. My Intel HD4000 card could handle it without a problem. A nice tip would be to double press the letter ‘O’, which will make other player’s car models dissapear. This will give you an increased FPS of around 5 to 10, and will decrease your annoyance by 34% because now you will be able to fully see the tracks around you. Specific specs can be found down below.
And did I mention this game is FREE? Even if racing isn’t your thing, you should definitely give this one a try, I’m sure it will be worth it..
